Recently, a series of standardization conference and site visit of gas cylinders for fire extinguishing was successfully held in Qingdao, which was sponsored by Fire Fighting Gases and Engineering Branch of China Industrial Gas Industry Association (CIGIA). The conference was supported by Zhejiang Kin-shine Technology, Jiangsu Shengtai Gas Equipment Group Co, and Qingdao Qingtie Fire Protection Technology. This conference is the first technical conference organized by Fire Fighting Gases and Engineering Branch, and also a safety activity in conjunction with China national safety month of "everyone knows about safety and how to respond to emergencies".

The conference was hosted by Mr. Hou Yuzhu, Secretary General of Fire Gas and Engineering Branch of CIGIA and General Manager of Beijing Yuding Baoxin Fire Protection Technology. Mr. Pu Chungan, President of Fire Gas and Engineering Branch of CIGIA, made a welcome-speech. Mr. Gao Jiangfeng, Factory Director of Beijing Yuding Baoxin Fire Protection Technology, and Mr. Weng Guodong, Chief Engineer of Ningbo San'an Valve Manufacturing, and other leaders attend the conference.

Mr. Pu Chungan pointed out that this conference is a safety activity carried out in conjunction with China National Safety Month and industry safety. In particular, he mentioned the accidents in relates with fire fighting gases in 2014 China National Trade Center, 2021 Chongqing and this year's Spring Festival in Beijing; and the "6.21" Ningxia Yinchuan accident resulted in 31 deaths at one time, so it is very necessary to standardize the inspection, filling and use of gas cylinders for fire fighting. CIGIA Fire Fighting Gas and Engineering Branch, with the support of leaders and experts from relevant organizations, and China Gas Association Group Standard Technical Committee, prepared and released a series of 6 group standards for gas cylinders for fire extinguishing, which will vigorously promote developments of China's fire fighting gas and engineering industry.

During the meeting, Mr. Gao Jiangfeng, Mr. Weng Guodong and Mr. Fu Chungan explained the relevant group standards and answered the questions raised by the delegates in the field of filling and inspection of gas cylinders for gas fire extinguishing systems. In addition, Mr. Fu Chungan also answered questions related to the gas industry.
